The PLCD5092A is the cheapest announced Black Friday 50-incher, more than $100 less expensive than the 50″ Toshiba 50L2200U and many other Black Friday and Cyber Monday TVs. When it comes to the basic specs, the Toshiba is better than Proscan in terms of backlight, since it uses LEDs while the PLCD5092A uses CCFL.
The Proscan has a 4000:1 contrast ratio, 350cd/m2 brightness, 176/176-degree viewing angles, and a somewhat slow response time of 8 milliseconds. The HDTV has dual 10 Watt speakers in stereo, three HDMI in ports, VGA, component, and composite.
The PLCD5092A has a glossy black bezel and a four-leg stand, giving the TV a modern and classy look.
