The Seiki SE242TS is a 24-inch HDTV which will be on sale on Black Friday for $88 at Kmart (SKU #4261472). The TV doesn’t bring any surprises such as Internet connectivity or 3D support, but also no dissapointments when it comes to the basic specifications.
The SE242TS has 1080p resolution and with full HD support it is better than majority of the Black Friday TV doorbusters, offering 720p. In addition, backlight is provided by LED, as opposed to older CCFL technology of the most of the announced Black Friday TV offers. The refresh rate of the TV is 60Hz and other known specs include brightness of 180~220 cd/m2, 5ms response time, and 600~800:1 contrast ratio. The Seiki has a ATSC/NTSC tuner, dual HDMI inputs, composite, S-Video, and VGA in. The built-in speakers are on the weaker side, with output of 2 x 3 Watts.
LED technology has enabled a slim look of this TV. It measures 1.7 inches without the stand and provides 100×100 VESA mount.
Sale of the TV at Kmart starts at on Thanksgiving night, 8PM.
